How to contour using bronzer

June 15, 2010

Adding depth or contours to your cheeks using bronzer is a quick and easy way to create fuller cheeks, higher cheekbones or a slimmer looking face.Bondi Bronze mineral bronzer

For contoured cheeks

Once you have completed your base, push your lips together and suck in your cheeks, this will show the natural hollows of your cheeks. Use the Small Powder Brush, or Blush Brush and apply the bronzer in these areas. It will cleverly create the appearance of higher cheekbones. As usual apply your blush to the apples of your cheeks and Star Dust to the highest point of the cheekbone. Ensure all shades are blended together by sweeping the Super Powder Brush over them.

To create a slimmer looking face

Apply your bronzer to the hollows of your cheeks, (another way to find this is to open your jaw whilst keeping your lips together) extending the colour to the sides of the face (along the hairline) to deepen the shadows – this brings the attention to the lighter, central area of the face, creating a slimmer profile.

Remember to choose a bronzer which is right for your skin tone – don’t go too dark if you want a natural looking glow.
