Summer wedding makeup

Lily Lolo

Wedding season! We love it. What better excuse to buy new dresses and spend hours pampering? If you’re going to a wedding this summer, or even if you’re lucky enough to be a bride to be yourself – have you thought about your makeup yet?

You’ll need a good base which will last all day, and of course, look fabulous on camera. Clean skin followed by a dusting of Flawless Matte will keep excess oil at bay, and primes the skin ready for your foundation.

Apply your mineral foundation in layers, letting each light layer of powder settle before brushing on more, this way you’ll get a base which is really durable.

For a wedding, think pretty makeup, rosy cheeks and delicate features are perfect. Save the heavy bronzer and heavy eyeshadow for the evenings.

Peachy shades are also lovely; look up Ooh La La, Clementine and Candy Girl for ideas.

Keep eyeshadows neutral and delicate, shades like Miami Taupe, Golden Lilac, Pink Champagne, Vanilla Shimmer and Sandy Shore are perfect.Perfect-wedding-coverage

If you have light features consider ditching the black eyeliner and black mascara, try a softer shade like Mystery as a liner or the Blue Eyeliner, eyes will remain soft, but delicately defined.

A dusting of Translucent or Flawless Silk will give skin a healthy glow and for added sparkle dust a small amount of Star Dust to the cheekbones. Mixing Star Dust with your body lotion is also a great way to add subtle shimmer to your shoulders and décolleté – saves on buying another new product as well!

Other colours from the Lily Lolo eyeshadow collection which work really well alongside the new Summer Essentials collection include: Cream Soda, Smoky Brown and Sticky Toffee.
